The report assesses both the impact, success and remaining challenges of this legislation on Chemicals, as well as includes a number of commitments and recommendations.
The European Copper Institute (ECI) broadly shares the report’s findings, in particular the need to clean up the multiple classifications shown for the same substance. ECI also believes that more needs to be done to better integrate these two, largely overlapping initiatives.
This would reduce the effort and cost duplication for industry and for regulators, as well as reduce the risk of mixed messages towards the downstream value chains and final consumers.
