Copper in design and manufacture

Very easy to work with and shape into almost any form, copper in design and manufacture applications offers cost-effective products for industry.

Copper and copper alloys provide an exceptionally wide range of properties to designers and manufacturers.

Copper has the best electrical conductivity of any metal except silver, which would be prohibitively expensive for common applications.

When alloyed with other metals, it can also provide excellent corrosion resistance both in air and water, superb durability and malleability, and a wide range of colours to suit different aesthetic requirements.

An important consideration for any designer, architect or manufacturer when selecting materials is recyclability, and copper and its alloys are fully recyclable without loss of properties. In 2015, 3.7 million tonnes of copper were used in the European Union, with around half of that need met by recycling.

We offer support with choosing the optimum combination of properties for a specific application or copper design, as well as advising on the most appropriate manufacturing processes.
